Everyone needs to learn a valuable lesson from this little kid who found happiness in giving away his presents to the homeless man. The video shows Alex Hovater who hails from Bakersfield in California giving away his presents.
He felt inspired to do the good deed when he saw a homeless man taking a nap under the bridge.
The mother of 6-year-old said:
“He had a lot of questions. He wanted to know if that’s where he lived and what he would eat and how he would stay warm.”
With winters approaching Alex learnt that the man had no sufficient means to stay warm. He said he wanted “to do nice things for other people”.
He explained more by saying: “I was like, well it’s getting close to Christmas and it’s gonna get cold outside, so at least give him a little snack and water and a jacket before it freezes up.”
Alex’s family packed up to eight packages for homeless people and drove with Alex to give them to the homeless people.
Machelle went on to share the amazing act by the 6-year-old boy on social media to inspire people. She said: “We tend to want to give our kids everything. Growing up with that sense of entitlement and that sense of ‘I want, I want, I want,’ we kind of lose sight of what Christmas and what giving really truly is.”
We are sure to learn a thing or two from this little boy trying to help people.
