It is the moment in time every teen music enthusiast dreads; the split up of their most loved group. And currently to the status of the Spice, Beatles and Take That another name may be included, One Direction. The band is set to split up in March, based on the reports; however, as is usually the case with the pledge of lucrative reunion tours, it may not be a long term break up for the group.
The teenager idol sensations; Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson, are set to part company for one year as they would like to concentrate on solo ventures. A One Direction source said: “The boys have been as one for 5 years that is an amazing run for any boy band. They totally deserve to have a minimum of one year to focus on their own projects. There is simply no bad blood between them and they are all a hundred percent behind the judgment. It’s certainly not a breakup and they totally plan to reunite at some point later on.
There will be no performance tour for the band’s 5th album and the surprise news may imply their last full gig; for now, at least; will be at Sheffield’s Motorpoint Arena on October 31.
Millions of enthusiasts could still get the opportunity to see their idols as a series of performances and television spots that are already penciled in before the end of the year remain likely to proceed.
The boys are to have a rest over the festive time before getting together again to finish their promotional obligations for their record label in Feb., as stated by sources. Based on an unidentified source, the plan had been on the cards “with or without” Zayn Malik, who quit the boy band in March.
In March, the group spoke their mind to quash rumors that they were set to break up in the wake of Zayne’s exit. They promised to carry on as a four-piece after the shocking statement that Zayne stated was essential for him to exist like a “normal” 22-year-old.
Bradford-born Zayne is thought to be working on a solo album with prominent music producer Naughty Boy, who has worked with a chain of hit-makers, which include Leona Lewis, Emeli Sandé, and Cheryl Cole.
The 4 remaining members of 1D are said to be worth roughly $39million each after topping the charts globally since surfacing in the 2010 X Factor series.
