Ripple and Peersyst Collaboration Enhances XRPL EVM Sidechain with evmOS
Ripple and Peersyst have joined forces to leverage evmOS in order to enhance the XRP Ledger (XRPL) EVM sidechain, which is currently in Devnet status.
evmOS Integration for XRPL EVM Sidechain
The XRPL EVM sidechain will be developed using evmOS, a highly adaptable and customizable tech stack provided by Evmos. This innovative platform enables EVM compatibility within the Cosmos SDK and facilitates seamless integration with over sixty SDK chains via the inter-blockchain communication protocol (IBC).

evmOS boasts a range of features tailored for EVM execution on the Cosmos SDK, including IBC activity, EVM extensions, and the presence of the dApp Store. Designed for conventional and cross-chain applications built on the Cosmos SDK and powered by the CometBFT consensus engine, evmOS offers the flexibility needed to expand the XRPL EVM sidechain effectively.
Integrating XRPL with interchain connectivity will enable the seamless connection of its user base, dApps, and liquidity to a vast network of over ninety interconnected chains. This integration will grant the XRPL community access to every Cosmos SDK chain, allowing users to interact with any desired application effortlessly.
evmOS Outposts Enhancing Interoperability
One of the key components of the collaboration is the utilization of evmOS Outposts to improve the interoperability of the XRPL EVM sidechain. These Outposts serve as bridges between different blockchain networks, facilitating asset transfers among them. XRPL users will have the option to execute swaps on Osmosis through a single transaction, enhancing the overall user experience.
The XRP Ledger, a decentralized Layer 1 blockchain, specializes in tokenizing and exchanging both traditional and real-world assets through the use of XRP, a cryptocurrency designed for facilitating payments.
Peersyst, a blockchain-focused technology company, offers a range of industry services that complement the collaboration with Ripple on the XRPL EVM sidechain project.
