Trump’s Absence from Campaign Trail Raises Concerns
Former President Donald Trump has been noticeably absent from the campaign trail, despite his complaints that his criminal trial was the reason for his inactivity. However, the trial has been over for days, and Trump has yet to hold a single campaign event.
Instead of engaging with voters in person, Trump has resorted to posting inflammatory rants on his social media platform, Truth Social. In a recent post, Trump lashed out at President Biden, blaming him for what he called “out of control” migrant crime.
Trump wrote: “Last night, two brave NYPD officers doing their job were shot by a Monster Illegal Immigrant who came here illegally from Venezuela last year and was living in a tax-payer funded migrant shelter.”
Trump’s diatribe continued, accusing Biden of allowing dangerous individuals into the country and criticizing the actions of the Soros-funded District Attorney in New York. Despite his strong words, Trump’s online presence has not translated into physical campaign events.
Lack of Campaign Events
Trump’s upcoming schedule shows no campaign events until Thursday, when he is set to participate in a town hall. Following this, a rally in Nevada is planned for Sunday. Remarkably, Trump has not held a traditional campaign event since his New York gathering ten days ago.
After his recent conviction, Trump held a speech that masqueraded as a press conference. With no legal barriers preventing him from campaigning, many are puzzled by Trump’s extended absence from the public eye.
Despite concerns within the Republican Party, Trump’s campaign seems unfazed by his lack of activity. The convicted felon continues to allocate significant funds to legal fees, raising questions about his dedication to the upcoming election.
