Singapore Game Studio 9 Lives Interactive Secures $3M Funding for Nyan Heroes

Singapore-based game studio 9 Lives Interactive recently announced the successful acquisition of $3 million in funding to facilitate the worldwide launch of Nyan Heroes. This “hero shooter” game features assets minted on the Solana blockchain and is set to offer players an exciting new gaming experience. The studio is gearing up to offer players a chance to test the game very soon.

Investment Details

The investment round was spearheaded by Mechanism Capital, with additional contributions from Sfermion, Momentum 6, 3Commas Capital, Devmons GG, Kosmos Ventures, and CSP DAO. Notably, this recent funding announcement follows a previous successful funding round where 9 Lives Interactive raised $7.5 million in 2022.

Early Access Testing Period

Nyan Heroes will be accessible during a limited early access testing period from March 26 to April 9 via the Epic Games Store. This early access initiative aims to give players a sneak peek into the action-packed world of this team-based shooter game.

Airdrop Campaign and NYAN Tokens

In line with the early access rollout, 9 Lives Interactive is conducting a play-to-airdrop campaign, offering players a chance to earn rewards through the NYAN token drop. Previously known as “NYN,” this token underwent a rebranding to “NYAN.” The airdrop campaign kickstarted this week, attracting over 200,000 participants and spanning more than 120,000 unique Solana wallets.

Game Overview

Nyan Heroes stands out as a team-based, objective-driven “hero shooter” game reminiscent of Blizzard’s Overwatch series. However, in this game, colorful cats take on the roles of mech pilots engaging in fierce competitive battles. With eight guardian classes to choose from, players can utilize unique abilities and agile, cat-inspired movements to outwit opponents and secure objectives.
