The Collaboration Between Aethir and Theta EdgeCloud

Aethir, a distributed cloud GPU network project, and Theta EdgeCloud, a hybrid cloud computing platform powered by the Theta Edge Network, are joining forces to launch the largest hybrid GPU marketplace for developers and enterprises. This collaboration is set to revolutionize the industry by providing unprecedented global GPU compute capabilities, offering 20-30 times more power than any comparable network available today.

The Evolution of Theta Network

Theta Network, originally focused on decentralized video delivery, has been steadily integrating AI and video processing capabilities into its platform. This strategic shift was emphasized with the introduction of the EdgeCloud platform, designed to grant users unlimited access to GPU processing power for any AI or video task. By embracing AI technologies, Theta Network aims to enhance its platform’s functionality and cater to the growing demand for cutting-edge services.

Decentralized Computing Power for AI

Industries leveraging AI applications require substantial GPU-based compute resources to drive innovation and expansion. However, traditional cloud computing models have faced challenges such as supply chain issues and inefficiencies, hindering progress. Aethir and Theta’s marketplace address these issues by providing instant access to enterprise-grade GPU compute, empowering organizations to develop and deploy AI models efficiently.

Aethir brings a network of over 40,000 enterprise-grade GPUs, including 8,000 NVIDIA H100s, to the partnership, totaling 170,000 TFLOPS of compute power. Theta’s Edge Network boasts one of the world’s largest distributed GPU computing clusters, with around 80 PetaFLOPS, equivalent to 250 Nvidia A100s. By transitioning to a decentralized infrastructure, Aethir and Theta aim to reduce latency, enhance GPU efficiency, and lower costs for clients.

The Future of Decentralized GPU Compute

Aethir has garnered significant community engagement and decentralization by selling over 64,000 Aethir Checker nodes to more than 11,000 individual buyers. These nodes will ensure the stability and security of Aethir’s cloud infrastructure, with node operators set to receive rewards in $ATH tokens following the Mainnet launch in Q2 2024. Theta is set to launch its hybrid cloud-decentralized GPU marketplace integrated into the EdgeCloud platform, offering developers and enterprises a user-friendly AI model leveraging option.

The collaboration between Aethir and Theta EdgeCloud represents a milestone in decentralized GPU compute infrastructure development. This partnership has the potential to revolutionize the AI and gaming industries by providing unparalleled access to enterprise-grade resources globally, positioning itself at the forefront of the rapidly evolving tech landscape.
