Farlight Games Announces Song of Strife Update for AFK Journey
Farlight Games, the global publishing brand of Lilith Games based in China, has recently announced an exciting major update to their anime-style RPG, AFK Journey. The update, titled Song of Strife, offers players a plethora of new content, game modes, battle mechanics, and two new playable heroes to enhance the gaming experience.
Expansive Content Updates
AFK Journey, which initially launched in December for testing purposes and officially debuted in March, will now receive regular content updates on a quarterly basis. The Ashen Wastes present a unique desert landscape characterized by vast dunes that give the impression of endless waves resembling those of the sea. The dynamic environment, influenced by the wind’s direction and strength, immerses players in an authentic desert experience.
New Characters: Alsa and Soren
The update also introduces two new playable heroes, Alsa and Soren. Alsa, a mage specializing in earth-based magic, brings unique defensive and offensive capabilities. Soren, a fierce rogue with strong warrior abilities, adds a new dimension to the game with his knockback attacks and nimble reflexes.
Seasonal Progression System: Magic Charms
Players can now enhance their heroes using Magic Charms, which offer stat bonuses and special effects. These charms, seasonal in nature, provide players with a new way to develop their heroes while adding depth and customization to their gameplay experience.
New Game Mode: Dura’s Trials
Dura’s Trials is a new PvE mode that allows players to earn valuable resources for Magic Charms. By challenging different trials daily, players can obtain random charm drops, with higher quality charms available as they progress through the trials.
Seasonal Skills and Supreme Arena
Each season introduces unique seasonal skills for heroes, providing diverse gameplay experiences. Additionally, the Supreme Arena, open on select days, offers players the opportunity to compete against others and climb the ranks with strategic gameplay.
Availability and Future Updates
The Song of Strife update will be accessible on AFK Journey servers that have been active for 42 days. To unlock this and all future seasons, players must reach Resonance Level 240, clear all AFK Stages, and complete the quest “The Last Leg.” Once players have met these requirements, they can embark on the main quest in Holistone.
AFK Journey is currently available for Windows PCs via the official website and on iOS and Android devices through the Apple App Store and Google Play.
