AnimeChain Launches Gacha Grab Web-Based Game
Following the introduction of the AnimeChain project in March, the AnimeCoin Foundation, the entity responsible for the AnimeCoin token, unveiled a new web-based game titled Gacha Grab on Monday. The game, inspired by Japanese gachapon toy vending machines, functions as a virtual slot machine where players spin the dial to earn points and prizes, including one of eight digital Gachapons, each offering different reward levels. Each spin in Gacha Grab requires 100 credits and rewards players with a Gachapon collectible.
Developed in collaboration with the Azuki NFT collection on the Ethereum blockchain, Gacha Grab allows players to earn credits for each Azuki, Elementals, or Beanz NFT they possess. Additionally, participants of the initial Bonus Quest held in March are eligible to receive 100 bonus credits, as per the AnimeCoin announcement. The rarity of Gachapons is categorized into three tiers: Esteemed, Grand, and Legend. Players have the option to create “squads” with multiple owned NFTs to enhance their rewards, and can “level up” their Azuki profile to increase the chances of winning rarer NFTs.
Increased Earning Opportunities
Commencing on April 6, the AnimeCoin Foundation has scheduled a two-week period during which players can benefit from a 2x credit earn boost. Participants can track their Gacha Grab performance on the leaderboard accessible on the official website. Players have been advised by the Foundation that the Gachapons acquired through NFT credits are linked to the specific NFT in question, and will be transferred to a new owner if the NFT is sold.
Introduced in January 2022 by Chiru Labs based in Los Angeles, Azuki is a collection of 10,000 anime-themed NFTs on the Ethereum blockchain. Presently, the project maintains a floor price of 4.9 ETH, approximately $14,550, as listed on a secondary marketplace.
Established in March by a partnership comprising the Arbitrum Foundation, Weeb3 Foundation, and Chiru Labs, AnimeChain’s objective is to serve as a hub for anime-focused initiatives. The platform has been developed using Ethereum scaling technology from Arbitrum, underscoring its commitment to expanding the anime NFT ecosystem.
