Paramount Launches ARK: The Animated Series
Paramount recently unveiled the latest addition to its series lineup, ARK: The Animated Series, which is based on the popular video game ARK: Survival Evolved. Available exclusively on Paramount+, the first half of the season, consisting of six episodes, is now ready for streaming in the U.S. and Canada. The global release is scheduled for April 19. Additionally, the remaining seven episodes are set to debut on a later date.
The Plot
ARK: The Animated Series chronicles the story of a 21st-century paleontologist who finds herself mysteriously revived on an island teeming with dinosaurs and other creatures. In a bid to survive, she must form alliances with fellow humans while unraveling the truth behind her inexplicable presence in this perilous environment.
The Cast
The star-studded cast of the series includes renowned actors such as Michelle Yeoh, Russell Crowe, Gerard Butler, David Tennant, Jeffrey Wright, Elliot Page, Madeleine Madden, and Vin Diesel. Notably, Crowe, Butler, and Diesel are not only cast members but also double as executive producers.
The series teaser first emerged in early 2023, promising an enriching exploration of the franchise’s underlying lore in anticipation of the upcoming Ark 2 release, tentatively set for the end of 2024.
