Axie Infinity Announces Major Ecosystem Updates
Axie Infinity has recently unveiled significant updates to its ecosystem, aimed at enhancing the overall user experience. These updates primarily focus on Axie Experience Points (AXP) and Part Evolution, with the ultimate goal of streamlining the gameplay experience for users and allowing them to level up their Axies more smoothly.
Unlimited Coco Caps and Enhanced AXP Limit
One of the key updates is the implementation of unlimited Coco caps, effective immediately. Players can now reach the AXP limit in two ways – by earning points through gameplay and by consuming Coco. With these updates, players have the flexibility to combine both methods to reach the daily limit. Additionally, Coco can be fed to multiple Axies, removing any restrictions on the number of Axies that can be fed.
Moreover, an auto-distribution feature has been introduced to ensure that Coco moves on to the next Axie once the distribution has reached its cap. To add excitement to the update, Axie Infinity is organizing a Coco Eating Contest from April 11, 2024, to May 01, 2024. Participants have the chance to win an Origin Axie or support their friends by feeding Coco.
Enhanced Part Evolution Feature
The Part Evolution feature has also received an upgrade, now known as the Part Evolution Preview feature. This new feature allows players to preview the evolution of their Axie without actually evolving the art, simplifying the process of evolving an Axie’s appearance. Players can simply select an inventory and click on “Preview Evolution” to see the evolution preview.
Recent Developments and Updates
These latest updates come on the heels of Axie Infinity’s recent launch of new badges on the App Axie, celebrating milestones related to Part Evolution, material, and ascension. In February, eight new badges were introduced as a tribute to Lunacian identity. Furthermore, the platform has been updated to include sleek activity and analytics tabs for both land plots and Axies.
Earlier this year, in January, Axie Infinity made a pivotal update to SLP’s monetary policy, introducing a supply cap, deflation targeting, and buyback funds. The SLP supply was capped at 44 billion, allowing players to mint 2 SLP to burn 10 SLP for buyback and stability purposes. The stability fund was initially seeded with 60,000 USDC, with the aim of achieving a 2% deflation rate and creating a consistent source of demand to balance the supply.
SLP, short for Smooth Love Potion, has played a crucial role in the ecosystem, facilitating the development of economies and advancing the gameplay journey for users. With these continuous upgrades and enhancements, Axie Infinity continues to evolve, introducing new elements and refining existing features to meet the expectations of its user base.
