Chloë Grace Moretz to Star in Upcoming Film “Dutch & Razzlekhan”
Chloë Grace Moretz has been announced to star as Heather ‘Razzlekhan’ Morgan in an upcoming film alongside Lewis Pullman and Ariana DeBose. The film, titled “Dutch & Razzlekhan,” will portray Morgan’s role in the infamous $4 billion Bitfinex heist. Directed by Jon S. Baird, known for his work on “Tetris,” and with a script by Logan Miller and Noah Miller, the film is set to bring this captivating real-life story to the big screen. The financing and distribution for the feature will be handled by CAA Media Finance.
The Story Behind “Dutch & Razzlekhan”
Based on a 2022 article by Business Insider, the film will follow the true story of Heather Morgan and Ilya “Dutch” Lichtenstein. These two individuals, aspiring rappers and entrepreneurs, were involved in laundering over $4 billion of cryptocurrency stolen during the 2016 hack of Bitfinex. After their arrest in February 2022, they reached a plea deal with authorities, potentially facing up to 20 years in prison.
Chloë Grace Moretz, known for her roles in “The Peripheral” and “Nimona,” Lewis Pullman from “Outer Range” and “Top Gun: Maverick,” and Ariana DeBose, Academy Award winner for “West Side Story,” will bring this gripping tale of crime and ambition to life on the silver screen.
Other Projects in Development
In addition to “Dutch & Razzlekhan,” there are several other projects in the works revolving around the story of Morgan and Lichtenstein. Amazon MGM has announced a film titled “Razzlekhan,” directed by Hannah Marks and produced by Lili Reinhart. Furthermore, a Hulu limited series called “Razzlekhan: The Infamous Crocodile of Wall Street” featuring Lily Collins is also in development.
