Stephen Curry Injures Troublesome Ankle Again

Golden State Warriors’ standout Stephen Curry faced another setback on Thursday night as he injured his right ankle yet again in a game against the Chicago Bulls. The severity of the injury was not immediately clear, leaving fans and teammates concerned.

After the hard-fought 125-122 loss, Coach Steve Kerr indicated that Curry had his ankle submerged in a bucket of ice for treatment. This injury adds to a series of ankle problems throughout Curry’s illustrious 15-year NBA career.

Teammates Express Concern

Teammate Klay Thompson shared his thoughts on Curry’s injury, mentioning, “We’ve been in his position before where he has had time off and we’ve just got to do it collectively. I know he’ll be ready to go when he does come back, whenever that is. We just want to wish him a speedy recovery and to take his time.”

Curry sustained the injury while driving to the basket, prompting him to limp off the court and head to the locker room with less than four minutes remaining in the game. Despite the setback, Curry managed to score 15 points on 5-for-18 shooting during his nearly 29 minutes on the court.

Warriors Face Uncertainty

Having struggled early in the game, Curry found his rhythm in the third quarter, hitting a crucial three-pointer. The 35-year-old guard leads the Warriors in scoring this season, averaging 27.2 points per game along with 5.0 assists and 4.4 rebounds per game.

Thompson remained optimistic about the team’s prospects in Curry’s absence, stating, “If he is out, unfortunate, but the length of the season it’s hard to play every game especially not having any minor injuries and we’ll do well without him.” The Warriors are set to face the San Antonio Spurs at home on Saturday, hoping to navigate through this challenging period without their star player.
