Elixir Games Raises $14M in Seed Funding for Decentralized Gaming Ecosystem
Elixir Games, a crypto gaming store, announced on Wednesday that it secured $14 million in seed funding to develop a decentralized gaming ecosystem set to launch later this year. The funding round saw participation from major players in the industry, including Final Fantasy developer Square Enix, the Solana Foundation, and Shima Capital.
Partnership with Square Enix and Expansion Plans
Notably, Square Enix’s involvement in the funding round follows a partnership established with Elixir Games last year. Despite this collaboration, Square Enix recently invested in HyperPlay, another crypto gaming launcher, signaling its non-exclusive relationship with Elixir.
The newly acquired funds will primarily support the enhancement of Elixir’s launcher platform, which currently boasts a library of over 130 games and a user base exceeding 500,000 registered users. Additionally, the capital will facilitate the imminent launch of the ELIX token, designed to power Elixir’s range of products and services. Moreover, it will fund the introduction of the Launchpad & Incubation Program tailored for developers in the crypto gaming space.

In a strategic move last year, Elixir Games acquired LitLab Games, a Spanish game studio renowned for developing the popular auto-chess title CyberTitans. As Elixir Games gears up for a series of launches in 2024, it plans to initiate the release of the ELIX token, followed by the unveiling of the Elixir Launchpad to unlock exclusive platform features and debut new games.
Upcoming Season Pass Campaign and Prizes
Furthermore, Elixir Games is preparing to launch a season pass campaign commencing on April 4, with prizes totaling $750,000 up for grabs through game tournaments and promotional activities. This initiative aims to engage and reward the gaming community while fostering excitement around Elixir’s offerings.
By securing significant funding and fostering key partnerships, Elixir Games is laying the foundation for a dynamic and immersive gaming ecosystem that promises to redefine the future of gaming on the blockchain.
