Despite trailing 3-0 after two periods, the Knights mounted an impressive resurgence led by William Karlsson, who notched two goals, and Ivan Barbashev, who added another to force the game into overtime. Adin Hill, the Knights’ goaltender, made 21 saves, with only two stops needed in the final period.
On the Avalanche side, Cale Makar had a strong performance with a goal and an assist, while Ross Colton and Mikko Rantanen also found the back of the net. Alexandar Georgiev stood tall in goal, turning away 26 shots from the Knights.
Notably, Vegas managed to score two power-play goals, marking the fourth time in six games that they have achieved this feat.
