Gunzilla Games Raises $30M in Funding for Cyberpunk Battle Royale Game and Blockchain Platform

Gunzilla Games, a leading game development studio, announced a significant milestone today as it secured $30 million in combined funding to support the ongoing development of its highly anticipated cyberpunk battle royale third-person shooter, “Off the Grid.” This funding will also be utilized to further enhance Gunzilla’s blockchain-based digital economy platform, Gunz, which offers users complete ownership of digital assets and features an NFT marketplace.

The strategic token round, co-led by CoinFund and Avalanche’s Blizzard Fund, injected $10 million into Gunzilla Games, demonstrating the investors’ confidence in the studio’s vision and potential for growth. This round also saw participation from Republic Capital and Morningstar Ventures, showcasing a strong investor interest in Gunzilla’s innovative projects.

Set to be released on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms, “Off the Grid” promises players an immersive gaming experience with a captivating storyline spanning over 60 hours across multiple seasons. The game also boasts asset ownership and a player-driven in-game economy, adding layers of depth and engagement for players.

In a statement regarding the investment, Evan Feng, Partner and Director of Research at CoinFund, expressed his excitement for the upcoming release of “Off the Grid,” highlighting the game’s dynamic gameplay, progression systems, narrative depth, and immersive world. He emphasized the potential of blockchain technology to revolutionize the gaming industry and create superior experiences for players.

Vlad Korolov, Co-founder and CEO of Gunzilla Games, shared his vision for the future, stating, “With the imminent launch of ‘Off the Grid’ and Gunz, we are not only pushing the boundaries of AAA gaming but also setting a new standard in the blockchain space.
