Health Crisis at O’Hare International Airport and Chicago Police Stations

Recent reports from O’Hare International Airport, a major travel hub in the Midwest, have raised concerns about public health and safety. Currently serving as a migrant shelter, the airport is grappling with a significant outbreak of diarrhea, adding to the existing humanitarian crisis impacting both illegal immigrants and local residents.

Chicago reporter William Kelly, who recently joined Fox News, has highlighted the alarming situation at O’Hare. According to Kelly’s sources, the outbreak of diarrhea has sparked fears that travelers may choose to avoid the airport due to health risks. Kelly emphasized the dual nature of the crisis, affecting not only migrants but also the people of Chicago.

Moreover, the use of Chicago police stations as migrant shelters has further exacerbated the health crisis. Kelly revealed that police stations, along with the airport, are reporting cases of diarrhea and overflowing toilets. With 18 migrant shelters currently operational in Chicago, including police stations, concerns have been raised about the health implications for both the migrants and law enforcement officers.

Measles Outbreak Adds to Health Concerns

Complicating the situation is the recent measles outbreak in Chicago, as previously reported by The Gateway Pundit. One heavily populated migrant shelter in the city, housing over 1,800 individuals including 95 children under two years of age, has seen a surge in measles cases. In the past few days, two children and two adults have been diagnosed with measles, with varying degrees of severity.

A mass vaccination initiative was conducted at the Pilsen migrant shelter over the weekend, with around 900 migrants receiving the MMR vaccine. While approximately 700 migrants were found to have been vaccinated or exposed to measles previously and were not required to be quarantined, there were reports of some unvaccinated individuals breaking quarantine and leaving the shelter.

“We have advised all unvaccinated and newly vaccinated residents of the quarantine period (21 days) but some of those residents have left the shelter, and I want to acknowledge that,” said Dr. Olusimbo ‘Simbo’ Ige, Commissioner of the Chicago Department of Public Health.
