In response to the incident, the White House placed blame on Texas Governor Greg Abbott for the border breach in El Paso. The administration accused him of ‘politicizing’ the issue, deflecting inquiries about the President’s awareness of the situation and redirecting focus to Governor Abbott.
Official Statement
“Look, I have not spoken to the president about that video…what I can say is this, I truly believe that’s a question for the Republican governor of Texas,” KJP said.
The conversation veered towards gaslighting as she added, “This is something he should address. That he should actually speak to.”
