Illuvium Labs Secures $12 Million in Funding for Blockchain Gaming Universe
Illuvium Labs, the esteemed gaming studio behind the much-anticipated blockchain gaming universe Illuvium, recently unveiled the acquisition of $12 million in Series A funding. This financial influx precedes the imminent launch of its interconnected game titles slated for Q2 of 2024.
The latest round of funding was jointly spearheaded by King River Capital, Arrington Capital, Animoca Brands, and The Spartan Group. Noteworthy contributions were also made by prominent investors such as Arca, Polygon Ventures, 32-Bit Ventures, and Yield Guild Games.
Notable for its diversity and innovation, the Illuvium gaming universe encompasses three fundamental game experiences. These include the monster-battler Illuvium Arena, the open-world action/adventure game Illuvium Overworld, and the base-building game Illuvium Zero. All three games are intricately structured around interoperable assets within the Ethereum ecosystem, supported by the scaling network Immutable X.
Furthermore, aside from the announcement regarding the debut of these groundbreaking games in the second quarter of this year, an official press release has hinted at an upcoming token airdrop. The press release alludes to a substantial airdrop planned for the community of players, rumored to exceed a value of $25 million.
