Aaron Rodgers Responds to Fake News Allegations About Sandy Hook Shooting Doubt

Recently, CNN’s Jake Tapper made unsubstantiated claims suggesting that NFL star Aaron Rodgers expressed doubt about the authenticity of the Sandy Hook school shootings. This accusation lacked evidence or any basis to support it, but Tapper still presented it to his audience.

Tapper alleged that Rodgers had conversed with an acquaintance over a decade ago, questioning the validity of the Sandy Hook tragedy and implying that it never occurred. Upon hearing these false allegations, Aaron Rodgers promptly addressed the situation.

In a direct response via Twitter, Rodgers stated, “As I’m on the record saying in the past, what happened in Sandy Hook was an absolute tragedy. I am not and have never been of the opinion that the events did not take place.”

Rodgers continued by expressing his condolences and emphasizing the importance of learning from such tragedies to prevent future loss of life. He extended his thoughts and prayers to the affected families and the entire Sandy Hook community.

Jake Tapper’s Persistent Allegations

Despite Aaron Rodgers’ clear denial of the accusations, Jake Tapper stood by his story and referenced an anonymous source to support his claims.

Tapper stated, “I have also spoken to another person, one who would like to remain anonymous in order to avoid harassment, who also had a similar encounter with Aaron Rogers, saying that Rogers claimed the, quote, Sandy Hook never happened. All those children never existed.”

Tapper’s reliance on an “anonymous source” to justify his attack on Aaron Rodgers raises serious concerns about the credibility of his reporting. There is no factual basis or public record to support Tapper’s claims, making his allegations highly questionable.

Response from Newsmax Host Rob Schmitt

Rob Schmitt, a host on Newsmax, criticized Tapper’s actions and highlighted the bias evident in CNN’s reporting. Schmitt pointed out the disparity in coverage between allegations against figures like Trump compared to those against Biden.

Schmitt remarked, “For a story that helps CNN’s general agenda, which is the Biden agenda, hearsay from 2013, they’ve never mentioned before, can just be blasted wall to wall across the world, much like any random, insane claim that’s made about Trump.”

He emphasized the lack of journalistic integrity in CNN’s selective reporting and highlighted the double standards applied when covering allegations against different political figures.

It is evident that certain media outlets prioritize sensationalism over factual accuracy, perpetuating biased narratives to suit their agenda.
