Biden Hosts St. Patrick’s Day Brunch at the White House

President Joe Biden hosted a St. Patrick’s Day brunch at the White House on Sunday, inviting Catholic leaders and Ireland’s Prime Minister Leo Varadkar to join in the festivities. The event took place in the East Room of the White House, which was adorned with Irish decorations including an Irish flag, shamrocks, and green and gold tablecloths. Seating cards for the guests were intricately designed with Celtic-inspired green lettering.

Biden’s Slurred Speech and Controversial Remarks

Despite the celebratory atmosphere, President Biden’s speech at the brunch was marked by instances of slurred speech and incoherence. In a video shared on social media, Biden can be seen struggling to articulate his words effectively.

During his address, Biden highlighted the strong economic ties between Ireland and the United States, emphasizing a shared commitment to liberty and opposition to tyranny. However, he also made controversial remarks about his political opponents, suggesting that his administration was actively pursuing legal action against them for fabricated offenses.

Biden’s speech concluded with a request for applause from the audience, further highlighting the awkwardness of the moment.

Further exacerbating the situation, Biden attempted to recount a personal story about his ancestor working in a brickyard in Ireland in 1828. However, his narrative became muddled and difficult to follow, leading to another moment of confusion and incoherence.

Questionable Statements and Handler Oversight

Additionally, during a St. Patrick’s Day luncheon at the Capitol, President Biden made more questionable statements, including a reference to being with Xi Jinping in the Tibetan plateau, which raised eyebrows among listeners.

Throughout these events, Biden’s handlers were observed closely monitoring his movements and interactions, particularly as he navigated the Capitol steps with assistance.
