Kaedim Secures $15 Million in Funding

Kaedim, a company specializing in tools for simplifying 3D asset content creation, has recently announced the successful completion of its Series A funding round, raising a total of $15 million. The startup has unveiled a revolutionary AI-powered marketplace that features 10,000 pre-generated 3D assets, with plans to incorporate user-created content as well. The infusion of capital will be utilized to enhance the platform, expand the team, and broaden market reach.

The primary investor in this funding round was A16z Games, with additional support from Pioneer Fund. Noteworthy backers of Kaedim include industry veterans Scott Gelb (former President of Games at Riot Games), Nate Mitchell (co-founder of Oculus), Eden Chen (CEO of Pragma), and Siqi Chen (CEO of Runway), among others.

New Innovations from Kaedim

Kaedim has introduced a range of innovative solutions designed to assist creators in the development of 3D assets. The company has developed a comprehensive set of tools aimed at enhancing artists’ workflows rather than replacing them. These tools encompass a 3D workflow solution that seamlessly integrates with popular platforms such as Unreal and Blender, smart add-ons for optimizing the 3D modeling process including automatic UV unwrapping, a managed service for custom 3D asset creation leveraging Kaedim’s machine learning algorithms, as well as various enterprise-grade features.

According to Konstantina Psoma, CEO of Kaedim, “The evolution of 3D technology across multiple sectors, including e-commerce, gaming, 3D printing, AR/VR, and more, has been remarkable over the past few years. We are empowering the next generation of 3D content creation, akin to the transformative impact DALL-E had on 2D images and concept art.”
