Recalled on Saturday to fill the void left by the injured Turner, Kody Clemens wasted no time in making a profound impact for the Phillies. Armed with Harper’s bat, Clemens seized the spotlight early in the game, delivering an impressive performance that proved to be challenging for Berrios.
During the bottom of the second inning, Clemens faced a 2-1 pitch from Berrios and skillfully launched the ball 383 feet into the right-field bleachers for his second home run of the season, marking a remarkable achievement in only his sixth MLB at-bat.
Undeterred by this initial success, Clemens continued his stellar performance. In the following innings, the 27-year-old displayed exceptional skill by hitting a sharp line drive that just eluded the outstretched glove of Kevin Kiermaier, granting Clemens the opportunity to complete his first career triple.

Building on his impressive offensive showcase, Clemens contributed significantly to the Phillies’ success that evening. His dynamic play culminated in a critical run scored on Harper’s subsequent grand slam, extending Philadelphia’s lead to 8-0.
