Tragic Incident Unfolds at Krasnogorsk Music Venue Following US Embassy’s Warning
Today in Krasnogorsk, a city located in the north-west of the Moscow region, a dreadful event transpired at a prominent music venue. This incident occurred shortly after the United States embassy in Russia issued a caution to its citizens regarding potential attacks at large gatherings.
Sputnik provided a report on the situation, detailing how three individuals clad in camouflage attire forcibly entered the Crocus City Hall venue and proceeded to unleash gunfire from automatic weapons. Subsequently, the assailants tossed either a grenade or an incendiary bomb, initiating a fire within the premises. Attendees at the venue were forced to seek refuge by lying on the floor to evade the gunshots. Approximately 15 to 20 minutes later, they began to evacuate the area through the exits.
Upon the occurrence of this harrowing event, the Special Rapid Response Unit (SOBR), the Special Purpose Mobile Unit (OMON), and firefighters swiftly mobilized to the scene to address the precarious situation.

In the ensuing chaos, the concert hall became engulfed in flames, prompting authorities to initiate the evacuation of individuals from the premises. Simultaneously, firefighters endeavored to contain and extinguish the fire. As a result, approximately 100 individuals were safely escorted out of the venue.
Prior to the tragic incident at Crocus City Hall, the US embassy in Moscow had issued a forewarning of a possible terrorist attack targeting large gatherings in Moscow, citing specific concerns about concerts. This advisory, published on the embassy’s website on March 7, urged US citizens to exercise caution and avoid participating in crowded events for the subsequent 48 hours.
