Ronna McDaniel Defends Involvement in Election Plot on Meet The Press

NBC News recently hired Ronna McDaniel, who proceeded to defend her role in the fake elector plot and expressed her belief in irregularities during the 2020 election. During an interview on Meet The Press, McDaniel portrayed Republicans who attempted to overturn the 2020 election results in Michigan as the true victims.

Pressured Michigan Election Officials

McDaniel faced questions regarding pressuring Michigan election officials to not certify Joe Biden’s 2020 victory and whether she regretted her involvement. In response, she expressed regret over individuals being threatened for simply performing their duties. She criticized the lack of consistency in standards between Democrat and Republican election workers.

Challenged on Responsibility

When asked about the numerous audits conducted, McDaniel was questioned on whether she should have acknowledged before January 6th that the election was not rigged and that Donald Trump had lost. She continued to highlight issues with the election but admitted Biden’s victory.

Omission of Critical Questioning

The interview failed to address McDaniel’s admission to the 1/6 Committee that the RNC aided Trump’s election overturning efforts. NBC News seemed to downplay McDaniel’s involvement in Trump’s anti-democratic actions.

Network’s Complicity

Although NBC News reconsidered featuring McDaniel on MSNBC, she still had the opportunity to propagate Trump’s falsehoods on Meet The Press. The network’s decision to hire McDaniel appears to endorse undermining public trust in democracy.

Questionable Practices

Despite Comcast’s freedom to hire individuals, viewers hold the freedom to reject NBC/Universal’s coverage. McDaniel openly defended Trump’s deception and justified the use of RNC donor funds for Trump’s legal expenses. NBC News is providing a platform for McDaniel to erode confidence in democratic processes.

Comcast is free to hire anyone that they would like to work at NBC/Universal, but viewers also have the freedom to not watch their coverage.
