ToggleNestle USA Recalls Starbucks-branded Metallic Mugs
Nestle USA has announced a recall of more than 440,000 Starbucks-branded metallic mugs following reports of customers suffering burns and cuts while using the products. The Consumer Product Safety Commission issued a warning stating that the mugs pose hazards of burns and lacerations if microwaved or filled with extremely hot liquids.
The metallic coated ceramic mugs, sold as part of four gift sets featuring the Starbucks logo, were available during the coffee giant’s 2023 holiday season, with prices ranging from $10 to $20. Customers have reported incidents of the mugs overheating or breaking, leading to injuries such as severe burns and blisters on their fingers or hands. In one case, medical attention was required.
Remedy and Instructions
As a precautionary measure, customers are advised to cease using the recalled mugs immediately. Nestle USA is offering a refund in the form of cash or a gift card. To facilitate the return process or inquire about a refund, individuals are encouraged to reach out to Nestle USA directly.
