William Nylander Returns for Game 4

After missing the first three games of the series, Toronto Maple Leafs winger William Nylander is set to make his return against the Boston Bruins in Game 4. The 27-year-old Swede participated in warmups with the team and is expected to slot on the third line alongside Pontus Holmberg and Calle Jarnkrok.

Nylander missed the previous three games of Round 1 due to undisclosed personal reasons. Despite participating in the morning skate on Saturday, Nylander did not confirm to reporters whether he would be playing, keeping the suspense high.

Throughout his 50-game playoff career, all with the Maple Leafs, Nylander has showcased his offensive prowess with 17 goals and 23 assists, accumulating 40 points along the way.

Bruins Start Jeremy Swayman Again

On the Bruins’ side, head coach Jim Montgomery has opted to deviate from his goaltender rotation and has chosen to start Jeremy Swayman for the second consecutive game. The decision comes after Swayman’s stellar performance in Game 3, where he stopped 28 of 30 saves, propelling his team to a 4-2 victory and a 2-1 series lead.

Following his standout performance, Swayman expressed his eagerness to continue playing, showcasing his determination and focus on helping his team succeed. Throughout the series, the 25-year-old goaltender has been instrumental in Boston’s victories, boasting an impressive record against the Maple Leafs over the past two seasons.

With Swayman’s exceptional .959 save percentage and 1.31 goals-against average against the Maple Leafs, the Bruins have a strong foundation in goal as they look to extend their series lead over Toronto.
