Transformers One: A New Look at Optimus Prime and Megatron

Transformers has always been known for its iconic characters and the upcoming animated origin story, Transformers One, is no exception. The first trailer for the film was recently released, giving fans a glimpse of the new looks for the beloved characters, as well as hinting at a more light-hearted tone.

Unlike previous iterations, where the Transformers had more robotic features, the characters in Transformers One appear to have more human-like characteristics. While their faces are still covered during intense battles and dialogue-heavy scenes, the designs seem to emphasize relatability and expressiveness. However, some fans have expressed mixed feelings about the blocky noses, thin lips, and dead eyes of the characters.

The Main Characters

The four main characters in Transformers One are Orion Pax/Optimus Prime, D-16/Megatron, Elita-1, and B-127/Bumblebee. Orion Pax/Optimus Prime is portrayed by Chris Hemsworth, while D-16/Megatron is voiced by Brian Tyree Henry. Scarlett Johansson lends her voice to Elita-1, and Keegan-Michael Key brings B-127/Bumblebee to life.
