Ragnarok: Monster World Coming to Ronin Blockchain
Zero X And and Sky Mavis have recently announced an exciting new partnership that will bring Ragnarok: Monster World to the Ronin blockchain. Set to launch in the third quarter of this year, this strategic game release marks a significant milestone as Ragnarok will be the first Web2-first IP to make its debut on the Ronin network.
Trung Nguyen, the CEO of Sky Mavis, the parent company of Ronin, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration in a statement. He emphasized the special connection that Ragnarok holds with their core audience in Southeast Asia, as well as the team members who are passionate fans of the franchise. Nguyen highlighted the company’s dedication to introducing IP that will have a lasting impact on gaming culture through innovative technology, eagerly anticipating the transformative effect that Ronin will have on Monster World.
Ragnarok: Monster World will be joining a lineup of other titles on Ronin, such as Fight League, Kaidro, and Apeiron. The expansive Ragnarok game universe also includes the immensely popular MMO Ragnarok Online, boasting an impressive 167 million downloads across 122 territories, according to Gravity, the publisher behind the franchise.
Seokjun Kim, the founder of Zero X And, expressed his excitement for the collaboration with the team behind Axie Infinity, a pioneering force in the realm of Play-to-Earn (P2E) and NFTs. Kim highlighted the admiration for Ronin’s potential, particularly after enjoying Axie Infinity games himself. By combining the expertise of his team in Web2 with Sky Mavis’ proficiency in Web3, Kim aims to foster a robust gaming and blockchain community through this partnership.
