House Oversight Committee Confrontation

During a recent House Oversight Committee hearing, Ranking Member Jamie Raskin (D-MD) took a direct approach with Chair James Comer (R-KY) by questioning the basis for the potential impeachment of President Biden.

Raskin’s pointed inquiry to Comer was clear and concise, “You have not identified a single crime, but what is the crime that you want to impeach Joe Biden for and keep this nonsense going? Why? What is the crime? Tell America right now.”

In response, Chair Comer cryptically stated, “You’re about to find out what is the crime. You’re about to find out.”

Unfulfilled Promises

James Comer has been making promises for well over a year without delivering on his pledge to reveal any wrongdoing by President Biden. Despite his persistent claims, no tangible evidence of a Biden high crime or misdemeanor has been presented, and no articles of impeachment have been put forth.

With the country approaching the upcoming presidential election in less than seven months, the costly and unproductive pursuit of impeaching the President by Chair Comer has resulted in a waste of millions of taxpayer dollars, with no progress made toward this end goal.

It is apparent that the time has come to put an end to this charade. Democrats are growing increasingly frustrated with Comer’s tactics, as House Republicans have failed to substantiate any impeachable offenses. The continuous promises of a groundbreaking revelation have not materialized, and even members within the Republican party are beginning to doubt the feasibility of a Biden impeachment.
