According to Crime Watch Minneapolis, the incident took place on a Friday at Eagle Ridge Middle School, which is situated approximately 20 miles south of Minneapolis. The harrowing video begins with the victim being cornered against a locker by a group of bullies, who proceed to physically assault him while he attempts to fend off their blows.
The scene quickly escalates as more students join in, leading to chaos and violence before the clip concludes.
Background of Similar Events
This disturbing event comes in the wake of another shocking incident involving school violence. Just recently, a 16-year-old student named Kaylee Gain in Missouri was brutally attacked near her high school, resulting in severe injuries, including a seizure, a fractured skull, and bleeding on the brain.
Kaylee Gain’s grandmother, Terry Nordstrom Thompson, expressed grave concern over her granddaughter’s condition, indicating that recovery may be an uphill battle. Thompson plans to provide updates on Gain’s progress in the near future.
Past Controversies at Eagle Ridge Middle School
Unfortunately, this is not the first time that Eagle Ridge Middle School has been associated with troubling incidents. In a previous case, the former principal, Mohamed Ali Selim, was arrested in 2022 for attempting to solicit a minor for sex. The principal had unknowingly contacted an undercover police officer in a sting operation.
As a consequence, Selim resigned from his position and later received a sentence of 30 days in the county workhouse along with a three-year probationary period.
