Supergiant Games Launches Hades II in Early Access
Supergiant Games recently unveiled their latest project, Hades II, in early access. The highly anticipated sequel follows the story of Melinoe, the sister of the original game’s protagonist Zagreus, as she embarks on a perilous journey to battle the Titan Chronos, her grandfather.
A Mythological Adventure
In Hades II, players will encounter familiar Olympian deities such as Zeus, Poseidon, Artemis, and Aphrodite, along with new faces like Hephaestus, Apollo, Selene, and Hecate. Melinoe showcases a diverse range of magical abilities, including the power to tame animal familiars and harness the energy of the moon.
The game is now available for purchase on Steam and the Epic Games Store. According to Supergiant Games, Hades II will remain in early access until the end of 2024, with regular major updates planned every few months. The final release is expected to feature a more comprehensive set of features, polished content, Steam Achievements, and a conclusion to the captivating storyline.
Positive Feedback and Future Plans
Initial player feedback from the technical test has been largely positive, with Steam reviews indicating an enthusiastic response. While the game is currently exclusive to PC, Supergiant Games has not disclosed a timeline for its availability on console platforms.
