The Luxury Camper Collaboration: AC Future and Pininfarina

When it comes to luxury vehicles, flashy RV makers are a dime a dozen in today’s market. In order to truly stand out from the sleek interiors, electric power options, and chic small spaces that dominate the industry, one must bring in the big guns. This is precisely what American RV startup AC Future did when they partnered with the renowned Italian design house Pininfarina.

The Prestigious History of Pininfarina

For those unfamiliar with the name, Pininfarina is responsible for some of the most breathtaking vehicles in the world, including the iconic Ferrari 288 GTO, Alfa Romeo GTV, and even a selection of VinFast cars. Now, this esteemed company has been tasked with creating a luxurious camper known as the eTH.

Introducing the eTH: Electric Transformer House

The eTH, short for Electric Transformer House, is a custom camper designed in collaboration with AC Future. This innovative vehicle is approximately the same size as a Mercedes Sprinter van but boasts an array of unique features to maximize space.

To create additional room, the eTH is equipped with three pop-out sections: one at the rear to extend the living space, and two others on the sides of the van. These expanding areas increase the floor plan to an impressive 398 square feet, providing ample space for a range of luxurious amenities.

Features and Functionality

Inside the eTH, occupants will find a multitude of smooth touch points and sleek surfaces, including a stylish kitchen adorned with earth tones, as well as a spacious master bedroom at the rear. AC Future has designed the vehicle to be compatible with both gas-powered and electric powertrains, and has equipped the roof with solar panels to ensure continuous power for all appliances and gadgets.

Additionally, the camper boasts a built-in water system capable of extracting up to 13 gallons of water from the atmosphere, making it ideal for off-grid adventures or emergency situations. While the eTH is currently a conceptual rendering, AC Future plans to bring this sophisticated RV into production.

Future Plans and Production Timeline

According to the company’s projections, a prototype of the eTH is expected to be unveiled by the end of the year, with pre-orders for the vehicle possibly commencing as early as next year. This collaboration between AC Future and Pininfarina exemplifies the intersection of luxury design and innovative engineering, promising a new standard of excellence in the world of recreational vehicles.
