Skinner, originally selected by the Carolina Hurricanes as the seventh overall pick in the 2010 NHL Draft, burst onto the scene by winning the Calder Trophy in his rookie season. After his tenure in Carolina, Skinner was traded to the Sabres in 2018 where he has continued to make his mark in the league.
Over his 14-year career, Skinner has amassed an impressive 669 points, showcasing his scoring prowess with 357 goals and 312 assists. Despite his longevity in the league, Skinner’s post-season debut still eludes him, making him a unique figure in NHL history as the only player to reach 1,000 games without a playoff appearance.
