GalaChain: Common Ground World Nodes Tokenized
Within the Gala ecosystem, an announcement has been made regarding the transformation of Common Ground World Nodes into the first tokenized node licenses within the GalaChain framework. This initiative aims to expand the node networks to support innovative projects, products, and platforms within the Web3 environment. These networks enhance users’ capacity to contribute computing power to the decentralized network through GalaChain’s DePIN (Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Network), enabling community computers to function as blockchain workers and rewarding operators for their participation.
Tokenization of Node Licenses
During the development of GalaChain, a key focus has been on the tokenization of node licenses. One of the primary benefits of blockchain technology is the ability for users to own tokenized assets as desired. Consequently, a certification process for running a DePIN node to earn rewards is imperative.
Founder’s and Common Ground World nodes will be among the first nodes within the GalaChain network to undergo tokenization, paving the way for the broader tokenization of node certifications.
Node Workload NFTs
Historically, node certifications within the Gala ecosystem have been issued as account-locked assets, preventing their transfer or trading. The introduction of node workload NFTs incentivizes operators to trade their certifications, creating a more dynamic ecosystem.
It is important to differentiate between node workload NFTs and actual nodes. Node workload NFTs represent tokenized certifications that enable the operation of nodes for rewards. Utilizing the GalaChain node client on their computer, operators can transfer a node workload NFT to another user, granting them permission to operate the node and receive associated rewards.
Common Ground World Node Certification
Members of the Common Ground World are currently tokenizing certifications related to Common Ground World Nodes. This tokenization process precedes the launch of Common Ground World Guilds, a groundbreaking feature of Gala’s flagship game involving town and city developers.
Participants who have purchased Common Ground World Node certifications in previous sales will receive node workload NFTs as part of this initiative.
