Jessica Tarlov Issues Correction Regarding Tony Bobulinski on FOX News
Jessica Tarlov, a liberal co-host on FOX News’ The Five, recently made incorrect statements about Tony Bobulinski’s legal fees, prompting a swift reaction from Bobulinski’s lawyer.
During a discussion about Bobulinski’s testimony before Congress on Wednesday, Tarlov insinuated that Bobulinski’s legal fees were being covered by a Trump Super PAC. However, Bobulinski’s lawyer quickly refuted this claim and demanded an on-air correction from Tarlov.
Legal Action Threatened
Following Tarlov’s remarks, Bobulinski’s lawyer sent a letter to FOX News demanding a retraction and apology for the false claim made on-air. The letter emphasized that Bobulinski had personally paid over $500,000 in legal fees to various lawyers since 2020 and that no Trump Super PAC had contributed to covering these costs.
The lawyer’s letter called Tarlov’s statements “maliciously blatant lies” and insisted on an immediate correction during a FOX News broadcast.
Tarlov’s Correction
In response to the demand for a retraction, Tarlov issued an on-air correction regarding her previous comments about Bobulinski and his legal fees. The correction aimed to clarify the misinformation spread during the broadcast, highlighting the importance of factual accuracy in reporting.
While the situation prompted legal action and public correction, it serves as a reminder of the accountability that media professionals must uphold when delivering news and commentary.
