Unauthorized Presence of Marines at Mar-a-Lago Fundraiser
Several individuals dressed as Marines were observed at a fundraiser held at Mar-a-Lago. This raises significant concerns as the presence of active service members in uniform at partisan political events is strictly prohibited by regulations governing military conduct.
It’s either illegal per UCMJ, or they aren’t marines which would be weird

The guidelines on political activities and campaigns, first issued in 2011, explicitly state that military personnel are not allowed to attend partisan political events in uniform:
- Marines and sailors must not wear their uniform while participating in any political fundraising activity, meeting, rally, debate, or convention as a spectator.
- Members of the armed forces are held to stricter rules compared to civilian employees, with various permissible and prohibited activities outlined.
Former Congressman Kinzinger’s concern is valid; the individuals posing as Marines were either impostors or violating military regulations by attending a political event in uniform. The actions of these individuals, if confirmed as active service members, warrant disciplinary action for their breach of conduct.
It is important to note that the former President, Donald Trump, orchestrated the presence of “Marines” at Mar-a-Lago as part of his ongoing efforts to project a false image of authority and relevance post-presidency. This attempt to mimic a White House setting at his properties indicates Trump’s reluctance to move on from his defeat in the presidential election.
There are lingering questions surrounding the authenticity and purpose of Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Marines, emphasizing the necessity for accountability and transparency in addressing potential violations of military protocol among those who appeared in uniform at the fundraiser.
