Baltimore Orioles Defeat Toronto Blue Jays in Pre-Season Game
Colton Cowser and Tyler Nevin’s back-to-back home runs in the seventh inning propelled the Baltimore Orioles to a 13-8 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays in pre-season action. At the start of the seventh inning, the Orioles, with a 7-5 deficit, rallied to outscore the Blue Jays 8-1 in the final three innings.
Alex Pham secured the win for the Orioles, recording four strikeouts and allowing three hits in 2 2/3 innings of work. He exited the game in the ninth inning. Cole Irvin, the Orioles’ starter, struck out two batters, walked five, and surrendered three hits and four runs in 3 2/3 innings.

Toronto Blue Jays Offensive Highlights
George Springer contributed to the Blue Jays’ offense with a crucial two-run single in the third inning. Daulton Varsho added to the run total with a two-run homer in the fifth inning. Despite the efforts, Toronto (11-12) fell short against Baltimore in this pre-season matchup.
Brandon Eisert suffered the loss for the Jays, allowing three hits and three runs in 1 2/3 innings. Chris Bassitt, the starter, struck out four batters, walked two, and conceded seven hits along with four runs in 3 1/3 innings of play.
The next challenge for Toronto awaits as they face Atlanta on Wednesday in North Port, Florida.
