Prosecutors are urging for a severe penalty of 40 to 50 years in jail for Sam Bankman-Fried, the founder of FTX, who has been accused of defrauding investors of billions of dollars. Prosecutorial Recommendation
According to a report from The FOX Business Network, the prosecution is advocating for a lengthy imprisonment term for Bankman-Fried. The recommendation stems from his involvement in the misappropriation of $8 billion from customers of his now-defunct FTX cryptocurrency exchange.
The FTX founder was found guilty on all charges in November, related to the demise of his crypto platform, in the first of two criminal trials against him.
