Tomas Hertl Expected to Debut with Vegas Golden Knights
It has been reported that Tomas Hertl is likely to make his debut with the Vegas Golden Knights during Monday’s game against the Vancouver Canucks as per head coach Bruce Cassidy’s statements. Hertl had to undergo knee surgery in February while still a member of the San Jose Sharks, leading to his absence from any games since January 27. The 30-year-old forward was traded to the Golden Knights on March 8 in his recovery process.
Before his injury, Hertl had an impressive record of 15 goals and 19 assists, totaling 34 points in 48 games during his time with the Sharks this season. Having spent 11 seasons in San Jose, Hertl is currently in the second year of the significant eight-year, $65.1 million contract he previously signed with the team.
Cassidy also provided updates on several other Golden Knights players, including goaltender Adin Hill, who has been sidelined due to a lower-body injury since March 27. Although Hill won’t be available for the upcoming game, Cassidy mentioned that he is back training with the team and will be traveling with them.
As for the team’s current standing, the Vegas Golden Knights currently hold the second wild-card spot in the Western Conference. Fans can look forward to the game against the playoff-bound Vancouver Canucks airing on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+ on Monday at 7 p.m. PT / 10 p.m. PT.
