A dog has accidentally participated in a half-marathon and finished seventh.
April Hamlin allowed her two-and-a-half-year-old dog Ludivine out of the house briefly and, next thing she knew, she has come in seventh in the county’s inaugural Trackless Train Trek Half Marathon.
The bloodhound ducked out of the back garden and headed to the starting line of the race. She then ran the whole thirteen miles, completing in a remarkable one hour and thirty minutes.
April just realized about her pet’s exploits when race volunteers began texting her photos of the pup donning her medal.
Jim Clemens, who came in forth, just ahead of Ludivine, states she was prone to disruption.
As stated by some of the other runners, Ludivine as well ‘wasted’ some time investigating a dead rabbit at the 2-mile mark.
But it appears she was determined to finish the race, Jim said.
