Apple’s WWDC 2024: What to Expect

Apple’s annual Worldwide Developer’s Conference, known as WWDC, is scheduled to take place from June 10 to June 14 at Apple Park in Cupertino, California. While attending in person is ideal, for those unable to make it, Apple will be live-streaming the event online. Additionally, the company will provide an archive of the keynote on its website for later viewing.

If you’re interested in watching the event live, you can visit the events site or tune in to Apple’s official YouTube channel. The keynote will kick off on Monday, June 10, at 10:00 A.M. PT/1:00 P.M. ET, lasting approximately two hours.

Like many other developer conferences this year, WWDC 2024 is expected to heavily feature AI, which Apple calls Apple Intelligence. One of the highlights will be the revamped Siri, developed in collaboration with ChatGPT. Moreover, Apple is rumored to launch its password manager app named Passwords. Surprisingly, Apple has never released a calculator app for the iPad, but this is about to change at WWDC, where a new calculator app for iPad OS 18 will be introduced.

The upcoming iPad OS will also bring a range of accessibility features, including Eye Tracking, allowing physically challenged users to navigate their iPads using only their eyes. This feature will be particularly beneficial with the increased screen real estate on the new iPad Air. While WWDC typically focuses on phones, this year’s event will also include announcements regarding MacOS. watchOS 11 and TVOS 18 may also receive brief mentions during the keynote.
