Chiefs Decline Fifth-Year Option for Wide Receiver Kadarius Toney
The Kansas City Chiefs have decided not to exercise the fifth-year option for the 2025 season on the contract of wide receiver Kadarius Toney, as reported by a source to ESPN. Toney, originally a first-round draft pick by the New York Giants in 2021, was traded to the Chiefs the following year.
General manager Brett Veach and coach Andy Reid have both expressed their confidence in Toney’s abilities and stated that he remains a part of the Chiefs’ plans for the upcoming season.
Challenges Faced by Toney
