Games for a Living, known in the industry as GFAL, a pioneering eb3-based video games startup, has recently secured a significant funding boost of $2.3 million through a seed funding round. This funding initiative was spearheaded by notable players in the gaming and investment landscape, namely Supercell Ltd and Mitch Lasky, a partner at Benchmark.

Supercell Ltd, a renowned mobile game development company hailing from Finland, and Mitch Lasky, with his impressive background as a partner at Benchmark, have recognized the potential of GFAL and its innovative approach to Web3 gaming.

The infusion of $2.3 million will serve as a catalyst for GFAL’s expansion plans, allowing them to onboard top-tier professionals and ramp up their production capabilities. This latest funding round comes on the heels of a previous token sale that saw GFAL raise $4.4 million, further solidifying their financial standing in the competitive gaming industry.

Shaping the Future of Gaming with Innovators

GFAL boasts a team of industry veterans with experience from renowned companies such as King Entertainment and Digital Chocolate, bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the table. The company’s token, $GFAL, has already garnered a fully diluted valuation (FDV) of $254,717,017 following the successful token release last year.

The primary focus of the recent funding injection will be on the development and launch of GFAL’s highly-anticipated mobile game, Elemental Raiders. The game, which underwent a pre-launch phase the previous year, has already generated significant buzz within the gaming community and is poised for success.

Investing in the Future of Web3 Gaming

Mitch Lasky, in a statement praising GFAL’s pioneering spirit and Web3 gaming prowess, highlighted the growing interest in the Web3 gaming sector among investment firms. The industry witnessed a staggering $1.7 billion influx in funding last year, with over 270 blockchain games set to revolutionize the gaming landscape.

King River Capital, Immutable, and Polygon Labs recently joined forces to allocate $100 million towards funding innovative gaming projects. Elixir Games, a prominent Web3 gaming platform, secured $14 million in a seed funding round led by industry giants such as Square Enix and Solana Foundation, paving the way for their upcoming token release, $ELIX.

Other standout performers in the Web3 gaming space, such as Illuvium, successfully raised $12 million in Series A funding rounds from leading investors like Arrington Capital and Animoca Ventures, signaling a bright future for the intersection of blockchain technology and gaming.
