The Machines Arena Open Beta: A Step Into the Future of Gaming

The highly anticipated open beta of The Machines Arena (TMA) is set to launch next week, marking a significant milestone for this Ethereum hero shooter. After a year in closed beta, Directive Games has announced that TMA, which operates on the Ethereum sidechain network Ronin, will soon be accessible to a wider audience on Android mobile devices.

Players eager to experience the thrill of TMA can download the open beta via the Epic Games Store or directly from the TMA website for Android starting on Tuesday, April 23. Additionally, the game will be playable through Mavis Hub, the launcher of the Ronin gaming network, on both PC and Android devices.

In a statement, Directive Games expressed their excitement about expanding the beta to include more platforms and devices, citing months of hard work, community feedback, and fine-tuning as the driving forces behind this decision.

Introducing Familiars: A New Gameplay Experience

One of the key additions to TMA in the open beta is the introduction of “familiars,” collectible companions that will assist players in battle. While specific details about how familiars operate have not been fully disclosed, the promise of more information being revealed next week has sparked curiosity among eager fans of the game.

As TMA progresses towards its open beta phase, the game is also delving deeper into the realm of Web3 integration. Last year, the team hinted at the possibility of allowing earned in-game skins to be minted into NFTs. Two months ago, this feature became a reality for closed beta participants on the Ronin network.

A Play-to-Airdrop Campaign and Ongoing Community Engagement

As part of its foray into the crypto world, TMA has unveiled plans for a play-to-airdrop campaign during the open beta stage. Through individual and team-based leaderboard rankings, players will have the opportunity to receive rewards, with the exact nature of these rewards yet to be disclosed.

With a focus on community involvement, TMA has promised a series of events, competitions, and new content updates throughout the open beta period. Players can look forward to new maps, skins, collectibles, and more as the game continues to evolve.

For those who have been participating in the closed beta, there is a deadline of April 22 to claim any rewards earned before they are no longer available.
