Former President Donald Trump, previously confident he would never face trial, is now showing signs of distress as the reality of legal proceedings sets in.
During a recent statement in a trial setting, Trump expressed his frustration at being away from campaign activities in various states such as New Hampshire, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. He described the trial as “very unfair” and dismissed the accusations against him as baseless stories. According to Trump, legal experts and sources like The Wall Street Journal have deemed the case absurd and lacking in substance.
Furthermore, Trump went on to attack Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, labeling him as the real perpetrator of fraud in the situation.
Debunking Trump’s Campaigning Claims
Despite Trump’s claims that he would be actively campaigning if not for the trial, the reality paints a different picture. Trump’s campaign efforts were minimal even before facing legal scrutiny, with reports suggesting he only campaigned on Saturdays, one day a week. It is important to note that Trump’s current legal situation does not prevent him from engaging in campaign activities, as there are 24 hours in a day.
Contrary to his repeated assertions, Trump’s lack of campaign presence both before and during the trial indicates that the former president never placed heavy emphasis on campaigning. The realization of being held accountable for his actions seems to be dawning on Trump as he navigates the legal processes.
