The Launch of Upland’s “Share and Build” Airdrop Series
Upland, a blockchain-based game that revolves around real-world locations, has recently unveiled the inaugural phase of its “Share and Build” airdrop initiative. This program is designed to acknowledge and incentivize both loyal community members and new participants for their engagement with the Upland platform ahead of the launch of its Ethereum token.
The initial phase will enable users to acquire Sparklet tokens—Upland’s existing in-game utility currency utilized for constructing buildings and generating content—by participating in social media endeavors and completing in-app missions throughout a three-week timeframe.
Social Media Engagement
Participants are encouraged to link their Twitter accounts and accrue points by interacting with Upland and Sparklet content on the social networking platform. These points will subsequently be converted into Sparklet tokens within the Upland game. This Twitter-centric airdrop campaign mirrors previous initiatives centered around Portal and BlockGames tokens.
Upland declared last November its intention to introduce an Ethereum token linked to its in-game Sparklet token, following community endorsement of this proposal with an 87% majority vote. The token tradability event (TTE) will ensue after the conclusion of the airdrop campaign, enabling users to convert their in-game Sparklet tokens into a transferable Ethereum asset.
“The commencement of the ‘Share and Build’ airdrop series aligns seamlessly with our ambition to cultivate a flourishing Web3 ecosystem and acknowledge dedicated players,” mentioned Dirk Lueth, co-founder and co-CEO of Upland.
Reward Structure and NFT Incentives
The initial phase of the airdrop comprises 10 distinct reward tiers, contingent upon users’ engagement levels and social metrics on Twitter for determining point multipliers. Participants associated with select undisclosed Upland partners will receive additional “point boosts” to augment their earnings.
Moreover, upon completion of each consecutive airdrop phase, participants will receive a unique Block Explorer NFT, serving as a gameplay asset within Upland. Amassing five such rewards unlocks an exclusive NFT for in-game utilization.
Originally established in 2019 as a property-trading game, Upland has evolved into a comprehensive metaverse experience encompassing vehicles, events, and a variety of gameplay opportunities. Last November, Upland successfully secured $7 million in a Series A extension funding round.
