Teen Arrested Following Violent Fight Near Hazelwood East High School

A 15-year-old girl has been taken into custody in connection with a violent altercation that transpired near Hazelwood East High School on Friday afternoon. The incident left another girl with severe head injuries, as reported by KMOX.

The initial report from The Gateway Pundit detailed that a white female student was rushed to the hospital in critical condition after sustaining a traumatic brain injury during a physical confrontation with a black female student in the vicinity of Hazelwood East High School in St. Louis, Missouri.

Law enforcement authorities have not disclosed the identity or current condition of the victim. Eyewitnesses, however, recount a tumultuous scene in which the teenager was violently beaten unconscious by a group of individuals while numerous spectators looked on.

Official Statement from Hazelwood School District:

“It is a tragedy anytime children are hurt. Bullying and fighting in the community is an issue for which we all need to take ownership and work towards a resolution for the sake of our children. The Hazelwood School District offers our sincerest condolences to everyone involved, and will offer additional emotional support from our support and crisis team to those in need. We look forward to continuing to partner with our community for the sake of our children. Please be kind and respectful of the families involved during this difficult time and pledge to help work toward the betterment of our entire community.”

Contrary to initial beliefs that the incident occurred on the high school campus, school officials have confirmed that it took place off-campus. Prompt action was taken by authorities following the altercation, resulting in the arrest of a 15-year-old female suspect on Saturday. She is currently under the jurisdiction of the St. Louis County Family Court, facing a felony assault charge.

St. Louis County Police, in confirmation to KMOX, verified that the video footage captures the incident that unfolded on Friday in close proximity to the school grounds. Vera Clay, spokesperson for the St. Louis County Police Department, disclosed that officers responded to the altercation just after 2:30 PM, with the fight occurring north of Hazelwood East High School’s premises.

Investigations by the St. Louis County Police to determine the circumstances leading up to the altercation are ongoing.
