A young boy from South Carolina passed away after participating in the pass-out challenge game on the internet.
Da’Voris Gray was last week discovered dead in his home.
His mom, Latrice Hurst, said her 11-year-old son was playing games referred to as hangman and pass-out challenge in which children choke themselves to the point of losing consciousness.
Latrice is currently encouraging other parents to keep an eye on their kid’s social media.
In a statement released through her pastor, Latrice stated kids must use social media ‘with intense adult supervision.’
Latrice stated that Gray showed do symptoms of destructive habit or depression, but he was a prankster and enjoyed to play tricks.
She stated that the loss of her son has ‘opened up dialogue between teachers and students, students praying and our community teaming up, knowing the only healing is through a relationship with Jesus Christ’.
Gray was a 6th-grade student at Beech Springs Intermediate School in Duncan and a member of 4 points Church in Greer.
The Coroner’s Office and cops are probing his death.
